Mnemonic tablet Lapua Dev Seed phrase keeper for SafePal
Lapua Seed phrase keeper is an AISI 304 stainless steel plate for storing a mnemonic phrase.
To ensure that a seed phrase from a crypto wallet is not compromised or stolen, it should be stored on offline media. Usually, a seed phrase is written down on a piece of paper, but paper is easily damaged or lost. A metal plate is resistant to time, water, fire, and other adverse conditions.
There are many solutions for storing a mnemonic phrase in metal—you can etch the words on a plate or assemble them from letters in a box or capsule. Our product is conceptually different. The Lapua Seed contains a table where each row is designated for recording one word from the BIP39 word list.
The plates are designed individually for popular wallets and offer different options for recording a mnemonic phrase (for 12 words, for 12 words plus a 6-digit PIN code, for 24 words, etc.).
The plate does not display the actual word in text form, but rather its ordinal number in the word list, broken down into a sum of powers of 2. To ensure reliable protection of the seed phrase from mechanical, thermal, or chemical effects, the plate is thick, and the engraving of the table is deep. The black color and other optical effects are not achieved by paint or chemical methods but by laser (creating a surface with a directional microstructure that refracts light).
Marks in the table cells are made using a punch (included in the kit) and a hammer. This marking is deep, clear, and reliable.
