SafePal S1 Pro Hardware Wallet supports transaction technology through a camera and display (AirGapped). The device cannot be connected via WiFi, Bluetooth, or cable to a PC or other devices, ensuring fully offline storage of private keys. The SafePal S1 Pro combines a standard microcontroller for regular operations and a secure EAL 5+ chip for private key storage, along with a built-in AIS31 random number generator. Additionally, the device features a self-destruct mechanism for private keys in case of external tampering, such as opening the device casing. It also includes PIN code protection and supports Bitcoin improvement proposals BIP39 and BIP44.

The device operates through the SafePal app, available for iOS and Android devices. Interaction between the hardware wallet and the app is conducted exclusively via QR code. During the initial setup, the authenticity of the device must be verified by scanning a QR code on the 1.3-inch screen using a smartphone. Transactions can also be completed using fingerprint scanning, provided the user enables this feature in the app settings.
